The FRMC Adult Psychiatry Unit is a 34-bed unit serving adults with mental and emotional health diagnoses. Patients are admitted for a variety of problems associated with depression, anxiety, bi-polar disorder and other serious psychiatric conditions. Our acute unit is designed to treat patients who require comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and treatment to stabilize their symptoms.

The Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic at Fairmont Regional Medical Center provides traditional counseling, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and neuro-psychological services. These services address a variety of problems associated with depression, anxiety, bi-polar disorder and other serious psychiatric conditions in adults and geriatric patients.

Fairmont Regional Medical Center’s Geriatric Psychiatry Unit is an acute treatment program designed to address a wide range of psychiatric disorders, Alzheimer’s Disease or other dementias that require hospitalization. This highly specialized program provides acute care to patients 55 and older with psychiatric symptoms, often in the context of co-occuring medical disorders.
The 18-bed unit provides a comfortable and safe setting where patients receive psychiatric assessment and a full treatment program, including crisis intervention, family consultation and rehabilitative intervention as the core modalities.
