The FRMC Endoscopy unit performs non-surgical screenings of the digestive tract using endoscope technology. The procedures are performed by our board certified gastroenterologist, Mohammed Roidad, MD with the assistance of the FRMC endoscopy nursing staff.

An endoscopy is a procedure where the physician uses an endoscope, a flexible tube with a light and camera, to view images of the digestive tract on a monitor. Routine colonoscopies are performed to screen for colon cancer. If cancerous polyps are found, the endoscopy unit may also perform interventions to remove these harmful growths from the digestive tract.

Your primary care physician or gastroenterologist will determine if an endoscopy procedure is necessary.
